The 3rd and the Mortal was a Norwegian band.

History

The band was founded in 1992 by Rune Hoemsnes, Finn Olav Holthe, Geir Nilssen, Trond Engum and Kari Rueslåtten. In 1993, the first EP by the name of Sorrow on the market. The band's debut album, Tears Laid in Earth, appeared in 1994. Rueslåtten In the following year left then The 3rd and the Mortal and was replaced by Ann -Marie Edvardsen. In 1996 Painting on glass, followed by In This Room, from which the single stream has been decoupled, the year after that. In 1998, the band then moved back for some years from the public and published in 2002 a new album, Memoirs, with recordings they had made in the previous years. Was published in 2004 under the name of a compilation EP 's & Rarities, which, united the EPs Sorrow and Nightswan the B- side of the single - stream and the bonus track of the Japanese edition of In This Room in itself. The last sign of life so far of The 3rd and the Mortal is the EP Project Blue Book in 2005, which contains a live improvisation from 1998 and four live recordings of the European tour in 2002 along with two new studio recordings from August / September 2003.

The band was never officially disbanded, but since 21 October 2004, there are no more news on the homepage.

Music style
