The Adventures

The Adventures was a British alternative pop and rock band that existed from 1984 to 1993.

The group was founded in London. They signed a recording contract with Chrysalis Records and released their self-titled debut album, The Adventures in 1984. Especially for the U.S. market was an LP version with the same content, but under the title of Theodore and Friends edited.

This first record was, however, granted no special success. After four years they switched to Elektra Records. The album released in 1988 Sea of ​​Love contained their biggest hit single Broken Land and many bombastic, sometimes reminiscent of Jim Steinman compositions with a lot of orchestral accompaniment.

After two more albums, the band broke up.
