Black Carnation ( Swedish: Svarta nejlikan, English: The Black Pimpernel, Spanish: El clavel negro ) is a Swedish film directed by Ulf Hultberg with Michael Nyqvist and Lisa Werlinder.
Action
The film is about Edelstam Harald, Sweden's Ambassador to Chile, in 1973 the lives of more than 1,300 people rescued after the military coup of Augusto Pinochet by included it in his message and brought to Sweden.
The film's title is a variation of the name of the fictitious character " Scarlet Carnation " (English: The Scarlet Pimpernel ), who saved during the French Revolution many lives.
The film was shot in Chile in the spring of 2006 and launched the original on 14 September 2007.
