Call of the Wild is a Canadian adventure film from the year 1997. Directed by Peter Svatek. Screenplay based on the novel by Jack London.

Action

End of the 19th century, the dog Buck lives in the south of the USA. One day he is kidnapped by the gardener to its owner because of gambling debts and taken as a sled dog in Alaska. As the story progresses it reaches more and more of the " Call of the Wild ". After many adventures with constantly changing slide guides Buck is saved by John Thornton. The two are an inseparable pair. After the death of its last Herrchens follows the dog, which is now without a bond to the people that call definitively and joins a pack of wolves.
