The Torture Chamber of Dr. Fu Man Chu is the fifth film of Dr. Fu -Man -Chu - series of the British producer Harry Alan Towers.

Action

Fu Manchu can arise in the Caribbean Sea and ram against an ocean liner with an iceberg - Hundreds of people die. He then announces that he will destroy the entire human race in two weeks if they do not obey his commands. Nayland Smith of Scotland Yard finds a book by Professor Henderson, in which is described how you can transform using a crystallized substance at any time in uncontrollable amounts of water into ice or steam. He suspects that this substance is an opium derivative and Dr. Fu Man Chu resides in Anatolia, as there is the largest amount of opium worldwide.

Dr. Fu Man Chu is actually located in Anatolia and set with the help of Omar Pasha's people the governor's palace. Then he can kill his helpers, only Omar Pasha's daughter Lisa comes into his torture chamber. Also Prof. Henderson is located in Fu Man Chu's violence, however, is heart disease. Dr. Curt Kessler and Dr. Ingrid Koch are kidnapped to make a life-saving heart transplant.

Nayland Smith arrives in Anatolia and allied himself with Omar Pasha, who wants to rescue his daughter. Dr. Curt Kessler and Dr. Ingrid Koch can flee after the operation from the palace while Nayland Smith manages to free Professor Henderson. Together, they can leave the palace before Fu Manchu can blow this.

Others

The film is based only on motives of Sax Rohmer's novels. Producer Harry Alan Towers wrote the screenplay under the pseudonym Peter Welbeck. The film contains several minutes at the beginning insert material from the 13 slaves of Dr. Fu Man Chu.

There were several scenes from other films used; the opening scene comes from the 13 slaves of Dr. Fu Man Chu, together with material from the last night of the Titanic; the dam break scenes from Dangerous heritage.
