The Chocolate Dandies

Chocolate Dandies is the name for various swing formations to King Oliver and saxophonist Benny Carter 1930-1940.

Chocolate Dandies - after a show by Noble Sissle and Eubie Blake from 1924 - is partly a disk pseudonym for the groups of Don Redman in the late 1920s and early 1930s ( McKinney 's Cotton Pickers ), for the Blue Rhythm Band and King Oliver's Orchestra, but also the name for various studio orchestras of Benny Carter:
