The Colour of Magic

The color of magic (English title: The Colour of Magic ) is a novel by Terry Pratchett. It is the first Discworld novel, and tells the stories of Rincewind the wizard. He was released in 1983. Places of action are Ankh-Morpork and Krull.

The novel addresses itself to various topics, including: fantasy clichés, role playing, space, tourism and insurance.

According to Pratchett, he tried with the color of magic in the fantasy genre, which is Mel Brooks Blazing Saddles managed for the Western.

Action

The colors of magic is about the encounter between the minus magically gifted with Rincewind Twoflower, the first tourists of the Discworld.
