The Cracow Klezmer Band

The Bester Quartet is a Polish klezmer band, which was founded in Krakow in 1997 by young musicians to the composer and accordionist Jarosław Bester. Their style is characterized by influences of jazz, classical and experimental avant-garde music.

Career

1997 in Krakow, Poland, as the Cracow Klezmer Band founded by young musicians performs the ensemble to the accordion since in the most important concert halls and clubs in the world (Europe, USA, Canada, Taiwan). Over the years, produced numerous radio and television recordings and the group collaborated with music greats such as Tomasz Stanko and John Zorn. With the New York record label Tzadik, the musicians are a collaboration that took reflected in the current seven CD recordings.

Since 1 January 2007, the band performs under the name Bester Quartet.
