The Crest is a dark rock band from Norway.

Band History

The Crest was founded in 1996 by " Nell " and Kristian Sigland. Until the recording of their second demo of the band's name was changed several times. In 1999, they agreed on their current band name. From then on, their music has developed into a distinctive blend of snarling guitars and female vocals. 2001 the band spent a month in Sound Suite Studio in France, where they released their debut album Letters From Fire with producer Terje Refsnes ( Tristania also worked at, Carpathian Forest and The Sins of Thy Beloved with ) recordings for the label Season of Mist. The album received positive feedback, and the band toured through Europe in spring 2002. Since 2003, the writing and work on the new album took more time and energy to claim they decided to take a year off. Nell and Kristian experimented this year with electronic music ( under the name " Rust Flower Incorporated "). In addition, Nell replaced at Theatre of Tragedy Liv Kristine and took over the lead vocal. After that year, the band put together again and worked in the Top Room Studio (Norway ) on the second album.
