The Distillers

The Distillers ( engl. the distiller ) was an American punk / grunge band.

Band History

The cast changed several times. The first album were: Brody Dalle (guitar, vocals), Rose " Casper " Mazzola (guitar, vocals), Kim Fülleman (bass, vocals) and Matt Young ( drums). Last consisted of The Distillers Brody Dalle ( Armstrong ) ( guitar, vocals), Tony Bevilacqua (guitar) and Ryan Sinn ( bass). Drummer Andy Granelli left the band in early 2006, to focus together with an old friend on the common new band " Darker My Love". Even Ryan sense left the band; now only 2 members have remained, but nevertheless the subsequent album should be brought ready. Brody Dalle commented on this, saying that the band still continues to exist.

The first two albums were comparable to Rancid, but when Brody Dalle divorced Rancid frontman Tim Armstrong, both sound and attitude of the band changed. The result was the last album Coral Fang. This is likely attributable to the genre Grunge, is clearly more melodic and includes some very much quieter pieces. With the play " Deathsex " Moreover, it contains an eleven -minute, for a punk rock band may be experimental piece, with several complete rhythm and melody changes and general pauses.

Distillers According to the Forum, the band has dissolved. Brody Dalle and Tony Bevilacqua 2007, the band called Spinnerette to life.
