Indian River ( Original title: The Forest Rangers ) is a produced 1963-1965 Canadian television series.

Action

A group of young forest ranger fights under the leadership of Peter Keeley in Indian River against the threat to nature and against thieves and criminals. They are supported by the Indian Joe Two Rivers, who will give them his Indian experience with words and deeds. Peters big brother George Keeley, chief of the adult Forest Rangers, and the Mountie Sergeant Brian Scott always try in vain in every episode to curb the young people in their enterprise.

  • The series was produced exclusively in the Canadian province of Ontario. Locations were Gravenhurst, Toronto, Kleinburg, Mary Lake, King City, Whitney and Widdifield.
  • Indian River was the first Canadian television series that was produced in color and internationally has been a commercial success.
