The Glove

The Glove was a New-Wave-/Synthie-Pop-Band of Siouxsie -and-the - Banshees bassist Steve Severin and The Cure frontman Robert Smith. They released one album, Blue Sunshine (1983 ), from which the singles Punish Me With Kisses and were released Like an Animal.

Since Smith was contractually prevented from occurring as a singer in another band, Jeanette Landray took over the vocals. However, Robert Smith took over the microphone in two pieces, Mr. Alphabet Says and Perfect Murder. The close cooperation between Severin and Smith came about because The Cure at Siouxsie & the Banshees appeared as the opening act and Smith sometimes helped out as a guitarist. On the Deluxe Edition of the 2006 Robert Smith can also be heard on some other demo tracks as a singer.

Some instrumentals from the album Blue Sunshine were often used as the opener at Cure concerts during the Head -On-The - Door era.
