The Go! Team

The Go! Team is an English six -piece band from Brighton. Their musical style combines cheerleader vocals, guitar sounds with early hip-hop, combined with 70 's Funk. Their songs are a mixture of self- played instruments and various samples.

History

The first album, Thunder, Lightning, Strike was released in September 2004.

In June 2004 the band played the opening act for Franz Ferdinand. The live band came on stage other than on the studio recordings. Ninjas singing was in contrast to the recorded samples in the studio.

The album was recorded in 2005 for the Mercury Music Prize nominated, which meant that the album was released internationally in a legal version. The album was re-recorded and previously unused samples that could not be used commercially, were replaced by alternatives.

The band gained more prominence as the new version of Lady Flash came into the UK charts.

The Single Junior Kickstart was used in the German feature film Knallhart 2006.
