The Greatest Store in the World

The children's film The fanciest department store in the world by the Director Jane Prowse is a television movie from the year 1999.

Action

A family is homeless. Your caravan is burned and the mother tries to make the best of the situation. The family may initially come only in an emergency shelter. There, however, prevail so bad circumstances, that they immediately take off again.

While the mother is very adventurous, the eldest daughter is the rational in the family. She likes not, for example, that they never will remain at a school until all know her name. The little daughter on the other hand keeps the mother. The gaukelt their children that the father, who left her a long time ago, still keeps in touch with them, and they also can send gifts at Christmas. However, it believes only the little girl.

The mother is now on the idea that the family should move into the Scottley department store until they get a proper apartment from the housing office. You can include night in a department store. The eldest daughter protested though, arises but then their fate. In fact, it makes the adventure in store finally fun. There is enough food, because there can be found a lot of expired food; the mother takes great care not to destroy. In the morning they sneak under the purification column and can be back the next day to include.

This is good for several days, until Christmas Eve, when the employees who previously dressed as Santa Claus and elves have worked in a department store, to break, to crack the safe. The older daughter prevented the collapse, which is why the department store owner will not reimburse display and after Christmas the family can move into her new apartment.

The film was nominated in 2000 for the BAFTA Childrens' Award at the BAFTA Award.
