Hoover was a company for electrical home appliances. The range included vacuum cleaners and large electrical appliances. The company was founded in 1999 merged with the Group Candy for Candy Hoover Group. The brands Candy and Hoover still be used.

History

The company was in New Berlin (now North Canton ), founded in 1908 in the U.S. state of Ohio, as WH "Boss" Hoover bought the patent for a vacuum cleaner by his cousin and inventor James Murray Spangler. Spangler had two years earlier crafted from a fan, a soap box, a pillow case and a broom handle as a handle to a vacuum cleaner.
