The Howlin 'Wolf Album is the third studio album released in 1969 on Cadet Records of the American blues musician Howlin ' Wolf.

The recorded in November 1968 material consists largely of older songs Neufnahmen wolf. Musically, the album mixes blues with psychedelic rock. Work on the album began in 1968 as Chess Records wanted to customize the sound of their biggest two most popular spirit of the times. Result was the album Electric Mud by Muddy Waters and The Howlin 'Wolf album. Producer of both recordings was Marshall Chess, the son and grandson of the legendary Chess brothers Leonard and Phil Howlin 'Wolf did not like the new sound of his songs and he also did not think that was even blues. Wolfs dislike of the album went so far that he described it as dog shit.

The note on the album cover, the album that Wolf himself did not like to have been responsible, according to Chess Records with that the record sold poorly. They finally called this type of advertising as Experiement.

In fact, The Howlin 'Wolf album is not as good as Waters ' Electric Mud sold. It was number 69 on the Billboard Black Albums chart and had the re-recording of Evil a single which ranked 43 of the R & B singles chart occupied. Critics rated The Howlin 'Wolf album even worse than the previous works wolf. Allmusic is currently valued at only two out of five stars.
