The Jarmels

The Jarmels were an American doo-wop / rhythm-and - blues vocal group who chose their name from a street in Harlem.

History

The five members are from Richmond ( Virginia). They sang there for several years already in the same church choir together before they formed the band. In 1961 she signed a recording contract with Laurie Records and attended with little success Little Lonely One on. In the summer of 1961 they had their only major hit with A Little Bit of Soap, which was successfully gecovert among others in 1978 by the group Showaddywaddy.
