The Kick Inside is the title of the debut album by Kate Bush.

History

As with the assistance of David Gilmour and some musicians from the Alan Parsons Project album The Kick Inside was published in February 1978, Kate Bush was 19 years old. On this album, the songs are included which had Kate Bush already composed as a 13 -year-old and recordings made when Kate Bush was only 16 years old.

Even before the release of the album brought EMI, the single Wuthering Heights out. This reached number one in the UK pop charts. The song was inspired by Emily Brontë's novel Wuthering Heights. Kate Bush appeared with the song in Alfred Biolek first shipment of Bio 's Bahnhof on 9 February 1978, was once celebrated in Germany as a discovery. The single reached the 11th place on the charts, the album The Kick Inside the 21th Place in the Federal Republic of Germany. In the UK, the album reached the 3rd place in the album charts.
