The Krypton Factor

Krypton Factor was the title of a TV show on the German private broadcaster Sat.1, moderated by Jörg Draeger. The program was broadcast in 1991 and consisted of 13 episodes.

Each four candidates presented themselves in the " Flexible thinking ", " reaction ", " perception", "intelligence ", " fitness ", " logic ", " coordination " and " general knowledge " the most demanding tasks.

The highlight of the show was an obstacle course, which Duisburg -Nord, had to be completed in the district of Duisburg Obermeiderich in a disused steelworks, the current landscape park. Similarly, the candidates had to cope with a landing in a flight simulator.

In the last episode of the show, there was the grand finale, in which a candidate won the top prize of $ 100,000.

The German version was unable to repeat the success of the English original, which was broadcast years ago in the UK under the title Krypton Factor with great success, and was canceled after only 13 episodes. The title tune and the accompanying theme was composed by Klaus- Peter Sattler.
