The Magic Tree

The Magic Tree ( original title Magiczne drzewo ) is a Polish children's series that was produced from 2003 to 2006 by Andrzej Maleszka. The German premiere took place on 1 October 2006 at KI.KA.

In 2007, the series won an Emmy Award in the category "Children's and youth program ." The episode The carriage won the 2007 "Children's Jury Award " at the Chicago International Children's Film Festival.

Action

The Magic Tree tells that an enchanted oak was felled and processed into various everyday objects, such as a cube or a pen. These items were sent all over the world. Each episode is about a child who comes into possession of such a magical article as that slowly unfolds its effect.

It is in the episodes to modern fairy tales for children. Four of the seven episodes to play at Christmas, so the series is repeated predominantly in the Advent season.

Movie

In the series followed a 90-minute movie that started off in Poland on 18 September 2009. The film has not been translated into German. Although there was no official release, some cinemas showed the Polish original recorded voice with German comments.

The subject matter which is treated in the film, is a red wooden chair.
