Action

Hillary Kramer is active in the perfume industry entrepreneur. One of their employees misappropriated company funds and leaves for South America. Kramer remains a contract with the professional boxer Eddie Scanlon, which is to bring revenue.

Kramer and Scanlon start a relationship. Later, they argue and decide to limit yourself on Business. The contract is to be dissolved after winning a major battle.

A fight in which Scanlon leads. Kramer suddenly throws in the towel, what is the sign of surrender. The enemy Scanlon is declared the winner. Kramer and Scanlon kiss.

Roger Ebert wrote in the Chicago Sun - Times of 26 June 1979, the film had neither the "life" nor was " kasper way " enough, as required by a screwball comedy. The situations were " calculated ", the chemistry between Barbra Streisand and Ryan O'Neal not agree. The character played by Barbra Streisand located too much at the center.

The lexicon of international film wrote that the production was " clumsy ", the comedy and the wit of the dialogues were " poor ".

Awards

The song The Main Event won in 1980 the People's Choice Award and was nominated for a Golden Globe Award.
