The Nation

The Nation is a progressive left-liberal weekly magazine from the United States.

The nation was founded in 1865 and is the oldest weekly magazine in the United States. Publisher, The Nation Company, LP, New York City, Irving Place 33

The Nation maintains correspondent offices in Budapest, London and South Africa.

The Nation does not work to cover costs, but is supported by a group of about 30,000 donors, the "Nation Associates ".

The editor and publisher is currently Director Victor Navasky, Katrina vanden Heuvel is editor in chief. Her predecessors belonged to the journalist Carey McWilliams.

Among the most significant authors of The Nation were Albert Einstein, George Orwell, Martin Luther King, Franklin D. Roosevelt, Jean -Paul Sartre, TS Eliot and Henry Miller.
