A crazy journey through the night (Original Title: The Night Before ) is an American comedy film from the year 1988.
Action
Due to a lost bet the popular Tara must accompany the infamous Winston to the school dance. On the way there, however, Winston moves, gets along with her in a music bar in a rundown area of Los Angeles and wakes up some time later in an alley alone again. He remembers the previous events only gradually again - for the audience through several flashbacks made visible - and eventually meets in the now empty pub on the prostitute Rhonda, who tells Winston that he Tara for a large sum of money to a pimp 've sold named Tito. Winston then embarks on a search for his companion and finds this after several encounters with shady characters finally in a hotel tied to a bed again. He saves her from another pimp, flees with her and met in a side street finally Tito, who feels betrayed and the two would kill them. It succeeds the two, however, with Winston's car to flee and settle after a short chase. Then the two deceive opposite Tara's father, a policeman, before to have been on the ball and then go for a kiss together by car to her home.

While Sandra Brennan from the All- Movie Guide the movie ascribes an unusual action, rated Reeves biographer Brian J. Robb the plot as well known, director Eberhardt also use the abilities of his protagonist Reeves not sufficient.
