Detective Agency (Original Title:. English The No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency ) is a British- American detective series, set in the Botswana capital, Gaborone. The series was primarily filmed at the original scene and was the first major film production in Botswana. The plot is based on the first book of the series The No. 1 Ladies ' Detective Agency by British writer Alexander McCall Smith.

In Germany, all seven episodes were broadcast by the station Arte in August 2011.
