The film shows a blowout (colloquial Azerbaijani neft FONTANI, literally " oil jet " ) with oil rigs at an oil field near the village of Balaxanı, now part of the Municipality Sabuncu of Baku.

Background information

The film was shot using the technique of cinematograph by the Lumière brothers and released under the catalog number 1035.

Alexander Mischon was a pioneer of the Cinema of Azerbaijan and published several important documentaries.
