The Overtones
The Overtones are a British- Irish doo-wop boy band from London, consisting of Lachie Chapman, Mike Crawshaw, Darren Everest, Mark Franks and Timmy Matley. They were discovered by a talent scout when she sang during a work break while decorating a shop in London. Their debut album, The Good Ol ' Fashioned Love in November 2010 rose to number 16 in the UK album charts, after the re- release of the album in March 2011, however, it rose to # 4
History
The original four members had put together a mix of the doo-wop music of the 50s, mixed with modern pop music and R & B, listed before their discovery. Later they took still on Lachie Chapman, who shared her taste in music. Based on an idea by Darren Everest founded the five then a painting and decorating company, so that they could practice together during their breaks. After the band was discovered by a scout, they signed a contract on several albums with Warner Bros. Records. The band's debut album, The Good Ol ' Fashioned Love, contains written by the members of pieces, including their first single Gambling Man and Say What I Feel. Among other things, it covers items such as The Longest Time by Billy Joel and many more The group became known in Britain through a series of public appearances, for example as the opening act for Peter Andre and in the Saturday Night Show on British television. In Germany, a spot for the TV station RTL Nitro increased awareness of the band.
