The Phantom Band

Band History

Active, the band is in their current occupation since 2002. She wore different names, including " NRA ", " Les Crazy Boyz ", " Los Crayzee Boyz ," " Tower of Girls" or " Wooden Trees". After that, the band released under the name " Robert Redford " a CDR called The Mummy And Daddy dance on her only a short time existing record label "Extreme Nudity " out and distributed exclusively through independent record shops across the UK. A short time later, the musicians erased all traces of the band " Robert Redford ", played under the name " Robert Louis Stevenson " some concerts in Scotland and published 150 audio cassettes with their music.

The frequent change of identities gave the band at first the freedom to play with music styles and images and to discard shortly after. From the multitude of different identities then went in 2006, the name " The Phantom Band " show.

The first CD under that name, the band released in 2007 in the form of the 7 "single " Throwing Bones " on the label" Trial & Error Recordings ". Consent led to the change to the Glasgow indie label Chemikal Underground. Under this label appeared in February 2009 the debut album Checkmate Savage, was well received in the press and in the UK went into the charts at number 181. Their first Europe tour led the musicians in May 2009 through the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Switzerland and France. the successor of Checkmate Savage bears the name of the Wants and appeared on October 18, 2010.
