The Phantom (also The Phantom - The world has a new hero! ) Is a Canadian two-part miniseries that was produced in 2009 and is based on the eponymous comic.

Production
On 29 July 2008 announced Daniel Knauf and his son Charles Knauf, that they should write a script for a four-hour television series about the 22 Phantom for the SCI FI Channel. On 23 March 2009, the station announced that he would produce the miniseries.
For producers, it was important that they stay very close to the comic, but the costume was redesigned and modernized a bit. The film was intended as a pilot episode for a series that was never produced.

In Germany, RTL Group has the rights to the miniseries backed up and decided to broadcast the film on August 13, 2011 on RTL. On September 23 he was shown on the German Syfy again.
