The Poodles

The Poodles is a Swedish hard rock band.

History

Their first album, Metal will stand tall was published in May 2006 in Sweden and Finland and reached gold status after a short time in their home country. The two single releases of the album Night of Passion and Metal will stand tall also reached gold status in no time and the former even platinum.

The Poodles took part in the Swedish melodies Festival 2006 and occupied with Night of Passion in second place. Then they released the single Seven Seas and soon after, on 25 April 2007, the second album Sweet Trade.

In spring 2007, The Poodles toured with Hammerfall and Krokus on The Threshold of Europe in Europe. On 29 June 2007, they played as a special guest on the Great Wood Festival in Germany with Gotthard.

From mid-October 2007 to early November 2007, The Poodles toured as support for Gotthard in Germany to present their new album Sweet Trade, which was released on September 19.

After their first successful headlining tour in late April 2008, guitarist Pontus Norgren left the band to play at Hammerfall. In June, the new guitarist Henrik Bergqvist was presented.
