The Queen Bee
The Queen Bee is a fairy tale (ATU 554). It is in the Children's and Household Tales of the Brothers Grimm from 2nd edition of 1819 to point 62 (KHM 62), previously with another instead of 64, and comes from Albert Ludewig Grimm's Fairy Tale Collection (1808, pp. 113-134 ).
Content
That's not very detailed tale The Queen Bee describes the benefits of a paired with a friendly disposition simplicity. As a simpleton, which is his two older brothers who did not return home from their adventures sent after this mock him that he " wanted to beat the world with its simplicity, and they two could not come and were so much cleverer ." This simplicity comes Simpleton benefit but, as he is unable to consent to the destruction of an anthill, the killing of a duck and the last of the Pillage of a beehive. When the three brothers then enter an enchanted castle, are placed where they would hardly objects to be achieved, the Simpleton able to his animal friends to fall back. While the brothers supposedly experienced both on the task of collecting a thousand pearls of the king's daughter, to fail and to stone, help the simpleton here spared the ants. So the youngest brother will still need a key with the help of the ducks get out of a pond and finally identify the youngest of the three is exactly the same on the king daughters with the help of the Queen Bee in order to break the spell. Origin and comparisons

Interpretation
Bruno Bettelheim explains the elder brothers conducted only by it, so they do not respond to higher values as well and could be made of stone. The Simpleton, symbol of the self, obey the superego, but also needs the help of the animal nature. Ants, ducks and bees represent the elements of earth, water and air.
Parody
In Janoschs parody the brothers get mediocre grades, boring jobs and rich women, only the silly animal lover marries a beautiful girl and lives in paradise, she says she was a queen bee.
