The Rakes

The Rakes were a British indie rock band from Whitechapel (East London), which was founded on 4 April 2002 and disbanded in October 2009. The reason for this was " total exhaustion ".

The public shared the tape with the separation on its website. " For The Rakes it was very important and the band was always proud to give 100 percent at every gig. If we can not provide that, then we will no longer play - that was our rule from day one. After much deliberation we have come to the conclusion that we no longer are able to give 100 percent. We apologize for all the people who wanted to see us on the UK and U.S. tour. It's strange to give the separation itself known, but we want our beloved fans, with whom we have collaborated all the great people, thank our management and our record label. [ ... ] Thanks for the great time. It was a terrific party. But now we have to sleep sometimes! "
