The Rapture (Band)

The Rapture was influenced by post-punk rock band with elements of acid house. The band from New York City was founded in 1998 and broke up in March 2014 tacitly.

The band was popular with the singles "House of Jealous Lovers" and "Sister Saviour " was produced by their first album " Echoes ", which as sonically related bands such as! , Radio 4 or Out Hud by The DFA. 2004 The Rapture played on the main stage of the Curiosa Festival, which toured North America. In 2006 they released their second album "Pieces of the people we love " on Vertigo / Universal Music.

They also contributed with Echoes in the theme song to Misfits.
