The Real McCoys

The Real McCoys is an American sitcom with 224 episodes in six seasons, which was produced from 1957 to 1963 for ABC and CBS. Was developed the series of Irving Pincus. The theme song was composed by Harry Ruby and sung in the final season of Jimmie Rodgers.

Action

The series revolves around the poor peasant family McCoy from West Virginia who accepts a farm in the San Fernando Valley. The family consists of Amos McCoy (Walter Brennan ), his grandson Luke McCoy ( Richard Crenna ) and his wife Kate ( Kathleen Nolan ), and Luke's siblings, who at the start of series of thirteen Hassie ( Lydia Reed ) and her younger brother Little Luke (Michael Winkelman ). Another main character is the farm workers Pepino Garcia (Tony Martinez ).

Broadcast

The Real McCoys ran from 3 October 1957 to September 20, 1962 on ABC and was then sold to CBS. There, the series ran from September 24, 1962 to September 22, 1963 before it was finally stopped.
