Dracula needs fresh blood is a horror film from the year 1973. It was produced as a seventh part of a Dracula series from Hammer Company. As in the previous film, the action in London is located in the 1970s. It is the last film in the series, in the face, Christopher Lee as Dracula and Peter Cushing as Van Helsing.

Action

In 1974, meet in a London mansion, the main agent of England from politics, science, military and industry to celebrate satanic rites.

Inspector Murray of Scotland Yard and the specialist in the occult, Professor Van Helsing, want to put an end to the activities. Van Helsing identified the mysterious industrialist DD Denham, the infected as the leader behind the rites, as the resurrected Count Dracula.

The Count has a plan to destroy mankind with a genetically engineered plague bacillus. This is exactly at midnight on 23 November, the Witches' Sabbath, take place. Four leading members of the above groups will function as a rider of the Apocalypse.

Van Helsing and the Count get into a scuffle, which explodes shortly before midnight, the host computer and puts Dracula's estate along with the bacillus into fire. Dracula successful first flight, but he catches it in a hawthorn bush, where it is then, scratched and bruised, staked by Van Helsing and finally destroyed.

Trivia

  • Dracula needs fresh blood flopped at the box office and was the penultimate film of the Hammer Dracula era. Last part of the series The 7 Golden Vampires. Since Christopher Lee was no longer willing to take on the role of the Count, Hammer undertook the actor John Forbes - Robertson.
  • Of the critics, the film was panned. The plot is illogical, the special effects are too cheap, and the whole film was staged lousy. Dracula needs fresh blood is considered to be the worst of all Hammer films.
  • Alternative title of the film are Rites of Dracula, Count Dracula and his Vampire Bride, Dracula is Alive and Well and Living in London, Dracula is Dead ... and Well and Living in London.
