The Story of Qiu Ju (Chinese秋菊 打官司, Pinyin Qiu Jú dǎ Guansi ) is an adaptation of the novel "The Wan Family's Lawsuit " by author Chen Yuan Bin, directed by director Zhang Yimou in 1992.
Action
Beginning of the 1980s in a village of Shaanxi Province in Northwest China. Qiu Ju's husband was kicked between the legs during an argument from the village chairman and needs several days in bed.
