The Tams

The Tams was an American singing group, which in the 1960s had some success in the U.S. and in the 1970s, more in the UK was successful.

Charles Pope ( † 2013), Joseph Pope, Robert Smith and Horace Key already knew each other from school in Atlanta, Georgia, ago. In order to escape poverty in the ghetto, they decided to do with black music career. To them came even Floyd Ashton.

With great perseverance, they worked on their stage performance, rehearsed their songs incessantly, working slowly from small pubs in the big clubs up and eventually got a record deal in 1962. " Untie Me " was their debut single, which came to number 60 of the Top 100.

From 1964, they were regularly represented in the charts and convinced visually with colorful outfits. Most recently, she appeared in the mid-1980s appearance.
