The Tellers

The Tellers are a pop-rock group from the French-speaking Belgium.

Their debut album, Hands Full of Ink was in Belgium nationwide success and climbed the charts to # 7, the band is one of the ten most listened to Belgian artists on myspace.com.

The group consists of drummer Cesar Laloux, bassist Fabrice Detry, Joos Houwen and Ben Baillieux - Beynon. The models of the band, the Kinks, the Libertines, as well as Bob Dylan and Cat Stevens.

History

Charles Blistin and Ben Bailleux - Beynon got to know in 2005, when Bailleux - Beynon took part in the music competition Pure demo of Pure FM. There, the disc initially emerged as a duo.

The band composes ballads on wayward manner. The characteristic type of Bailleux - Beynons guitar playing gives the music a special melancholy note. He owes his mother, who comes from Cardiff 's Welsh accent. Charles Blistin kümmertie during his time in the band for the most part to the arrangements of the pieces.

In June 2006, their debut EP " More" appeared with seven songs that was recorded in the studio of the Walloon band Girls in Hawaii. The EP was released by the label 62 TV Records ( Girls in Hawaii, Malibu Stacy, Austin Lace) and contains the singles " More" and "Second Category" - the latter was part of a commercial from Canon. "More" is part of the soundtrack of Electronic Arts ' computer and video game FIFA 08 ( with censored text) and also form part of an Australian commercials ANZ Banking Group.

The EP " More" was the forerunner of the debut album " Hands Full of Ink", which was released on 21 August 2007. The album was produced by Fabrice Detry (Austin Lace, Hi Kosmo ) and contains 16 songs. The first single, " Hugo", was in Wallonia became a hit and was played in Flemish radio stations. The album was 10 weeks in the Ultratop 50 and reached # 7

The Belgian press praised the EP " More" with good reviews. Supported by Francois Gustin on bass and Kenley Dratwa on drums, the band toured through Belgium, the Netherlands, France, Germany and Scandinavia. The album sold more than 35,000 times.

After the band was on tour in Europe for two years, the adjuster had in their tour cast enough of each other and François Gustin and Kenley Dratwa left the band. Then Charles Blistin decided that he has no desire for further touring, and so the dish was a one-man band. Ben Bailleux - Beynon called his producer Fabrice Detry who joined as the new bassist him. He was followed by the drummer Cesar Laloux from Namur and guitarist Joos Houwen.

The second album was followed by the plate "Close the Evil Eye", which was recorded by Baillieux - Beynon and three new items after the other members left the group after the tour to Hands Full of Ink. The album was released on October 15, 2010.
