The U-Men

The U -Men were a grunge band from Seattle, Washington. The band was one of the pioneers of the grunge and belonged to the mid-1980s alongside Green River and Soundgarden to the core of the scene in Seattle.

History

Tom Price (guitar) and Charlie " Chaz " Ryan ( drums) founded along with Robin Buchan (bass) and John Bigley (vocals ), the band in 1981. After just one year left Robin the band and was replaced by Jim Tillman. In this band only recorded their first EP in 1984 to U -Men. In 1987 they released their single Solid Action, after Jim left the band because the band was not successful enough. Jim was replaced for the first album Step on a Bug by Tom Hazelmyer. The album was released in 1988 and a short time later, the band broke up.
