Thenar eminence

The thenar is a village on the thumb- side palm Muskelwulst the metacarpal. It contains the following thumb muscles: abductor pollicis brevis, flexor pollicis brevis, opponens pollicis muscle and adductor pollicis. The thenar forms the base of the thumb, this, together with the little finger ( hypothenar ) is a cushion in which an object can OF MEASURES ( with thumb in opposition position ) rest.
