Theodor Friedl
Theodor Friedl ( born February 13, 1842 in Vienna, † September 5, 1900 in Kirchau, Lower Austria ) was an Austrian sculptor.
Life
Friedl studied at the Vienna Academy of Fine Arts under Anton Dominik Fernkorn. His studio was located in the former princely -Dietrich Stein's riding school in Liechtenstein Straße 37 in Vienna. After his death, he was awarded an honorary grave in Vienna's Central Cemetery. The portrait relief comes from L. Kosig.
Performance
Friedl mainly created sculptures and architectural sculpture for the building of the Ringstrasse era. Even outside of Vienna, he worked for numerous theaters in the monarchy.
