Theodor Spieker

Theodor Spieker ( born August 8, 1823 in Paewesin, † April 9, 1913 in Potsdam ) was a German mathematics teacher. He studied in Berlin, Bonn and Greifswald and was first at the junior high school Schwerin, then at Karl Gymnasium in Bamberg and in 1854 at the Realschule Potsdam. In 1891 he was retired. According to him, the Spieker point is named in the triangle geometry. He is the center of the Spieker circle that is inscribed in the triangle formed by the means parallels. He wrote a popular college textbook of plane geometry.
