Théodore Guérin
Théodore Guérin ( born October 2, 1798 in Étables -sur -Mer, Brittany Anne -Thérèse Guérin as, † May 14, 1856 ) was a Catholic nun and saint.
Guerin founded the Roman Catholic women religious Sisters of Providence of Saint Mary -of -the- Woods ( Sisters of Providence ) in the U.S. Indiana and several girls' schools, including the Saint Mary- of-the- Woods College in Vigo County.
On 15 October 2006 she was called by Pope Benedict XVI. canonized.
