Thérèse Peltier

Thérèse Peltier (* 1873, † 1926), was a French sculptor. However, it was known primarily as the first woman mitflog in an airplane.

On 8 July 1908 flew as a passenger by Léon Delagrange in Turin in a Voisin machine to the height of 656 feet ( 197 m). You even took flying lessons at Delagrange; than this, however, on January 4, 1910 fatal accident at Bordeaux in a crash, she gave up her flight ambitions.
