They Say It's Wonderful

They Say It's Wonderful (English title: It is said to be in love, that would be wonderful ) is a song that was written in 1946 by Irving Berlin for the musical Annie Get Your Gun. In the first performed on Broadway version of the musical, it was sung by Ethel Merman and Ray Middleton. The song was often was covered by jazz musicians, among others, Perry Como, Frank Sinatra, Sarah Vaughan, Doris Day, Johnny Hartman ( with John Coltrane ) and Tony Bennett. The version of Perry Como was a number -one hit in Australia.

The song was released mainly under the name Falling in Love Is Wonderful, about Jimmy Scott. German versions are from Bibi Johns and Heidi Brühl and Robert Trehy.
