Thomas A. Watson

Thomas A. Watson ( born January 18, 1854 in Salem, Massachusetts, † 13 December 1934 in Pass-a- Grille, St. Pete Beach today at Saint Petersburg, Florida) was an American accountant and mechanic.

He became famous as an assistant to Alexander Graham Bell. Watson was involved in the invention of the telephone. His name should have been the first word that was transmitted over a telephone line, "Mr. Watson - Come here - I want to see you ".

Watson was the founder of the Fore River Shipyard in 1883.

In 1939 produced biopic love and life of the phone maker A. Bell ( The Story of Alexander Graham Bell) by Irving Cummings Watson was played by Henry Fonda.
