Thomas Attwood (composer)

Thomas Attwood ( baptized November 23, 1765 in London, † March 28, 1838 ) was an English composer and organist.

Life

He studied in Naples in latilla and to 1787 in Vienna with Mozart. In 1795 he became organist of St. Paul 's Cathedral in London and 1796 court composer. From 1821 he worked as an organist in various offices at court. Attwood wrote 19 operas classicist attitude, organ and chamber music.
