Thomas Bing

Thomas Bing ( born April 3, 1990 in Bad Salzungen, Suhl district ) is a German cross country skier.

Career

Thomas Bing began at the age of seven years with the cross-country skiing. In the summer of 2010 he put sports high school in Oberhof his Abitur.

At the Junior World Championships in 2008, 2009 and 2010, he won with the team two silver and a bronze medal in the single and reached several top - ten finishes. His World Cup debut was December 3, 2011 at the Sprint race in Dusseldorf. At the Junior World Championships 2012 in Erzurum Bing finished second in the U23 - distance race positions five and seven. In the same year he became German champion in the mass start race. In 2013 he won the bronze medal at the U23 World Junior Championships in Liberec in the 15 -km freestyle race and was in Skiathlon fourth.

In the 2013/14 season Bing reached on 1 January 2014 with the fourth place finish at the 15 -km mass start race in Lenzerheide in the Tour de Ski his best placement in the World Cup. He qualified for the Olympic Games in Sochi.
