Thomas Del Ruth
Thomas Anthony Del Ruth ( born May 1, 1942 in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles County, California) is an American cinematographer.
Life
Thomas Del Ruth is the son of film director Roy Del Ruth, and actress Winnie Lightner. He studied from 1961 to 1962 at the Ruprecht -Karls- University of Heidelberg, and after he had finished his military service as a paratrooper in the United States Army, from 1964 to 1965 at the University of Southern California. He then took a temporary job in the mailroom of the Walt Disney Studios. After him with Saul Halprin, head of the camera department of 20th Century Fox, he was hired by Fox and in 1966 worked as a camera assistant on the television series Batman and Joseph MacDonald in his work on the film drama gunboat on the Yangtze - Kiang with.
