Thomas Houseago

Thomas Houseago (born 1972 in Leeds, West Yorkshire, England ) is a British visual artist.

Life

Houseago visited in the years 1990 to 1991 the then Jacob Kramer Foundation College called, now renamed Leeds College of Art Art School in his hometown. Then he studied from 1991 to 1994 at London's Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design. From 1994 to 1996 he was in the house of the artist institute de Ateliers in Amsterdam a studio available before he went to California for a few years to Los Angeles.

Work and works

Houseago worked to Begin his work with cheap materials such as gypsum or plywood, but which has also dedicated bronze works. A large bronze sculpture hermaphrodite was sold in 2011 for U.S. $ 435,000 to a European collector
