Whitney Biennial

Whitney Biennial is a bi -annual exhibition of contemporary American art, typically by young and lesser known artists, the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York City, USA. The first exhibition began in 1932 and was first performed annually. It is a leading event in the art world and renowned for their directional influence.

History

Since 2000, the Bucksbaum Award is awarded to an artist in the exhibition.
